Another Drupal Camp LA has come and gone.
To be honest, I wasn't sure it was even going to happen, due to how late in the year it was announced.
But happen it did, and it was great.
I didn't go to many sessions. Instead, I ending up spending most of my time talking with various people about different things. It wasn't necessarily intentional -- that's just the way it worked out.
I did end up attending a few sessions: mostly the ones that involved Backdrop.
This year's Twin Cities Drupal Camp was as good as ever, with a great venue (Thanks University of St Thomas!) quality session content (thanks speakers!) enjoyable parties (thanks organizers!) and attendees who are, of course, Minnesota nice.

Joseph and I went to Drupal Camp Utah on May 4th, 2018 (Star Wars Day). This was our 3rd camp at Utah, but it’s been a while since our last one, so there were a lot of unfamiliar faces, but that’s never bothered us before.
I don’t have as much time as I’d like anymore to contribute to the open source community, but when the entire Drupal community came together to address a highly critical security issue just before Easter, I got to witness a global-scale, multicultural, coordinated reaction, that made me regain hope for the human race. It even motivated me enough to write the third blog of my entire life...
Backdrop is pleased to announce the first of three annual releases for 2018 that includes some brand-new features and a long list of fixes!
One of the new features that stands out in the 1.9.0 release is the ability to manage individual files. You can now replace a file, and all pages where that file is referenced will be automatically updated.

There was much fun in the air at BADCamp 2017! It is so great to meet with coworkers, teammates, and friends. Beautiful brisk walks in the morning, great sessions, great networking, food, and company in the evenings.
