The site was created with Serif web page builder back in 2010... 2018 saw the site rebuilt using Drupal 7. With Drupal 7 reaching its end of life, the site has been migrated to Backdrop... with enhancements.
The site's purpose is to encourage an appreciation of the countryside in all its aspects and seasons, through the recreational medium of walking and associated activities.
Why was Backdrop chosen for this project?
Backdrop was chosen for this project due to the last iteration having been built with Drupal7, so Backdrop was a logical content management system to use.
The background image is stationary but the screen grabber has taken a copy of the full webpage and replicated the background image.
