The original website was created years ago in Dreamweaver, so each page was static HTML (and this was long before tablets and phones). Making changes or additions was awkward and difficult to keep consistent across pages. The goal was to preserve the original site as much as possible on desktop, while making it mobile-responsive and having an architecture that made it easy to add and alter material, with the underlying data structured. Backdrop CMS was the perfect solution.
Why was Backdrop chosen for this project?
Although it is a relatively simple site, the structured model of Backdrop CMS combined with its speed and simplicity was a better fit than other CMSes.
